Harlequins has announced today that it will conclude its sponsorship agreement with Etihad Airways at the end of the current contract term later this month.
David Ellis, Chief Executive of Harlequins said: "I would like to take this opportunity, on behalf of the Club, to thank Etihad Airways extensively for their loyalty and commitment to Harlequins over these past seven years.
"The strength of the relationship between us has been founded in shared values and principles, and has meant we have been able to achieve a great deal together.
"However, the time has now come for us both to move on. Etihad will always be a friend of Harlequins and we wish them all the very best with their future ventures."
Peter Baumgartner, Etihad Airways' Chief Commercial Officer, added: "Our relationship with Harlequins has been hugely successful for both parties but we have taken the decision to use the conclusion of the current deal to look at new opportunities for Etihad's aviation group in support of our realigned sports marketing strategy.
"It has been great to have been part of the Harlequins story, which included the Aviva Premiership triumph in 2012, and we wish the players, coaching staff and supporters much continued success in the years ahead."
