London Irish have announced that Jim O'Toole has become their new Commercial Director.
O'Toole has a 20-year sports marketing career that has spanned agencies and rights holders. His previous roles included working with a range of rights holders including FIFA, The International Cricket Council, Manchester United FC and Williams F1, as well as for sponsors such as AIG, Vodafone and Moneygram International. He has also had commercial responsibility for global championships in powerboating and professional sailing. Most recently, O'Toole has been running his own sports marketing consultancy, Armstrong Kennedy.
Jim, who has been working at London Irish as a consultant since the end of last season, said of his new appointment:
"My time as a consultant at London Irish over the last three months has been enjoyable and rewarding and I am looking forward to the taking on the challenge on a full time basis."
Chief Executive, Andy Martin, said: "Jim has made a strong start to his time with London Irish and we will be announcing several exciting new partners in the coming weeks for next season, the procurement of which he has been heavily involved with."
